Terms and Conditions 1. Mandatory Identification When renting a vehicle, you are required to present the following documents: – A valid driver's license (held for at least 3 years). – Double identification is mandatory for the primary driver; a driver's license is sufficient for additional drivers. The additional drivers must be present when picking up the car. 2. Age/License Duration Requirements – The driver(s) must have held a driver's license for at least three years. – The driver(s) must be at least 23 years old. 3. Insurance The car is insured for third-party liability (WA) with passenger coverage. The insurance company determines the amount for the passenger coverage, which applies to the renter of the vehicle and is not supplemented by the rental company. The insurance is only valid when the General Terms and Conditions are fully adhered to. 4. Deposit The deposit for the rental car is €500,- and must be paid by the renter to the rental company by bank transfer at the start of the rental period. 5. Not Permitted: It is not permitted to use or allow the car to be used: a. for any purpose that is against the law; b. for giving driving lessons; c. for pushing or towing any vehicle or trailer; d. for transporting people and/or goods in violation of any legal provision of Curaçao; e. for participating in car races, rallies, or other competitive or puzzle rides; f. by a driver who is not physically and mentally fit to drive the vehicle. Lack of fitness is assumed if the driver has consumed substances that may impair their driving ability; g. by a driver who does not possess a valid driver's license; h. by a driver who is not registered with the rental company as a driver; i. on unpaved roads; for examble at Shete Boka, Watamula, San Juan, Hato plains, or in the park around the Christoffel mountain. If we have evidence that you have driven on unpaved roads, we will charge you €1000; j. The driver may not consume alcoholic beverages or intoxicating substances before/while using the car; k. Smoking is prohibited in the car; l. Leaving items in the car (visible/invisible) such as bags, clothing, towels, etc., is prohibited; m. It is not allowed to transport animals in the car; n. It is not allowed to sit on the car seats in wet clothing; o. It is not allowed to transport diving or surfing equipment in the car. 6. Liability The renter is obligated to handle the vehicle as a responsible renter should. The renter is liable for all damages resulting from theft as well as any other damage to the vehicle, regardless of whether the damage was caused by the actions or negligence of the renter or third parties. A deductible of €500 / ANG 1,000 applies per damage incident. Any damage not covered by the insurer will be fully charged to the renter. In the event of total loss or theft, the renter must inform the rental company. The renter is liable for the actual replacement value of the vehicle, assessed according to the current market situation. The pre-determined replacement value of the vehicle as stated in the rental agreement can be requested in writing by the renter before or during the rental period. The renter explicitly agrees to the determined replacement value and forfeits the right to have the replacement value determined by a third party after the occurrence of total loss or theft damage. In the event of total loss, the renter is responsible for all towing and removal costs of the vehicle. In the case of non-payment, an annual interest rate of 5% will be applied. In such cases, a collection agency will be engaged, and collection costs will be charged to the renter. Any costs related to the inability to rent out the vehicle in question will also be charged to the renter. The renter is responsible for the vehicle until the rental company has conducted the final inspection of the vehicle. The renter is liable for all costs, fines, penalties, and administrative sanctions imposed on the rental company due to offenses or violations committed by the renter and/or driver and/or third parties during the rental period, plus an administrative fee. The renter indemnifies the rental company against any damages to the renter, third parties, and/or property that occur during the rental period for which the rental company may be held liable under the law and for which no coverage is provided under the rental company's insurance. The renter indemnifies the rental company against any legal, moral, and material liability related to injuries and/or liability damages concerning the passengers, except as covered by the conditions set forth in the passenger insurance policy and provided all the articles in these General Terms and Conditions have been met. 7. Maintenance / Refueling – The renter is fully responsible for refueling the car with the appropriate fuel (gasoline/super). The car will be fully fueled when the renter takes possession of the car and must be returned fully fueled. Sail to Klein Curacao with Bluefinn Charters Imagine yourself on an uninhabited island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, a pearly white beach that stretches for miles, crystal clear water all around you and in the middle of that island a big pink lighthouse…. Sounds like paradise right? A day sailing with the catamaran from Bluefinn Charters should not be missed during your holiday. With a gigantic catamaran you can enjoy a day at sea! In the morning you have to be ready at 8:15 AM at the Zanzibar Beach jetty. You will be picked up here. In 1 hour and 45 minutes you will arrive at the beautiful, uninhabited beach of Klein Curacao. On the island you can take a walk to the lighthouse, the shipwreck on the east side or go snorkelling in search of turtles. At noon you get delicious barbecue meat. From spare ribs, chicken and…. There is also a bean salad, pasta salad and baguette. Are you vegetarian or allergic, that's no problem. The crew can take this into account! You will return to the mainland of Curaçao around 3:00 PM. Often this happens while sailing! You will be back at Zanzibar around 5:00 PM. It is a super relaxed day that we can definitely recommend! To dive Are you planning to take a look under water? There is a lot to see at the bottom of our beautiful blue ocean. We can recommend Dive Center Scuba Do. Dive Center Scuba Do is a PADI 5-star dive resort located on one of the most beautiful dive sites on Curacao: Jan Thiel Beach. In the bay, bordering the Caribbean Ocean, is the house reef with many fish, coral, sea turtles and other underwater animals. It's easy to walk into the water, making it all the more a perfect dive site. You can feed flamingos, watch fish, see sharks and rays and watch a dolphin show. There is also a boat with underwater windows where you can see the fish, sharks and rays very well. Have you always dreamed to go on holiday to sun-drenched Curaçao? Then you have found the right place! N-Joy Residence is a new holiday resort consisting of four apartments. All four apartments are available for a maximum of 4 people, but it is also possible to enjoy your holiday with several people by booking multiple apartments. The apartments are directly adjacent to a large communal swimming pool that you can use during your stay. There are comfortable loungers by the pool where you can enjoy the sun and work on your tan. If you prefer a spot in the shade, you can sit under the large palapa. There is a large, gated parking lot on the property where you can park your car. You can use free Wi-Fi throughout the N-Joy Residence. You can always contact us for questions and information. We can inform you about everything Curaçao has to offer and what you should especially see and do before you leave the island! Location N-Joy Residence is located in the Brakkeput Abou district. This is a quiet and central area near the Spanish Water and the Jan Thiel district. The famous beach of Jan Thiel is therefore located less than 10 minutes away by car. The center of Willemstad is also 15 minutes away, where you can enjoy various sights such as the colored houses on the Wilhelminakade, the Pontjesbrug and the floating fruit market. Near N-Joy Residence there are several supermarkets, such as Van den Tweel (Albert Heijn), Esperamos and Vreugdenhil, where you can buy all your groceries. If you want to have a bite to eat in the evening, there are several cozy restaurants in the vicinity. Grill restaurant Brakkeput Mei Mei is within walking distance. Niels, Joyce en Steve zijn het gezicht achter vakantieresort N-Joy Residence Curacao. About us Bon Bini Who are we? We are Niels, Joyce & Steve and are the face behind N-Joy Residence. We moved to Curaçao in January 2015 to make our dream come true. Joyce did an internship on the island in 2012 and from that moment on she didn't think about anything else. After a long holiday Niels also fell in love with the beautiful white beaches, the Caribbean life and the beautiful weather. In September 2014 we decided to live on the beautiful island of Curaçao. We have started renting out 2 apartments at our house under the name N-Joy Apartments. Since we received many more requests than we had availability and we experienced a lot of pleasure in renting out apartments to tourists, we decided to expand. Our new project N-Joy Residence was created in 2021. We have designed and furnished these apartments ourselves, taking into account everything to ensure you have the best possible stay. Joyce focuses on the rental of the apartments. She processes all bookings, does the marketing and ensures a warm welcome. Niels works as a captain at Bluefinn Charters. He sails 4 times a week with tourists for a day trip to Klein Curaçao and Niels is also often present at the apartments so that you can always contact us for questions and/or tips.
